Before the dawn of India’s 69th Independence Day, there is certainly big good news to make each and every Indian proud. Technology Giant Google’s new CEO is India-born Sundar Pichai.
Pichai, Chennai-born has acquired a B Tech degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur and also holds an MS degree in Engineering and Material Science from the Stanford University and finally an MBA degree from the Wharton School.
In the year 2004, he had joined Google as the vice president of product management where he was leading the team handling Google’s Chrome browser as well as the OS.
As per the records, he is the second person of Indian origin heading a major IT company after Satya Nadella, Hyderabad born who became CEO of Microsoft in the year 2014 after Steve Ballmer.
To make India all the more proud, there is a big league of Indian-origin CEOs for nearly half a dozen Fortune 500 companies with big names like Ajay Banga at Mastercard, Indra Noovi at Pepsi and also Sanjay Mehortra at Sandisk.
Pichai has shown great achievements and success in the easier use as well as popularity of products of Google. Pichai is the third chief executive of the company after cofounder Larry Page and Schmidt.
